Now use what you have learned in the first lesson:

"Beginner's Motif" - Chart for full Cross Stitches

Use 1 strand of floss to add the backstitches:

"Beginner's Motif" - Chart to add the Backstitches

If you repeat this motif you'll get a nice border:

Like it and want more ? Stitch your next motif...

How to download the graphics:

I've packed all graphic files required for this project into a zip-file. Save the file to your hard disk. With MS Internet Explorer you should get the download of the zip-file simply by clicking on the underlined link (left mouse button as usual). If this does not work for you, place your cursor on the underlined link of the zip-file you want to save and click on the right mouse button, not the left as usual. A dialog box should come up then. Click on "save file as..." (or maybe "saver target as..."). Then another dialog box should open with your computer information in it. You can now name the file (or accept the existing name) and choosewhere you want your computer to save the file. Unzip the files and open them with your graphic software to print the charts.

Click here to download the file (basmotif.zip, 76 Kb) of this project.

Note: Feel free to use these instructions for classes, I would be glad if this lesson could help to win new members as a part of our worldwide family of cross stitchers.

Enjoy  and Happy Stitching !
